Richfield Hospitality Builds Revenue Management Team
John Capone grows Richfield’s corporate revenue management department with addition of industry veterans: Mark Hucek, Holly Michalek and Paul Wood
September 7, 2006, Denver, Colo., … John Capone, Richfield Hospitality senior vice president, announces the addition of three members to Richfield’s corporate sales and marketing, and revenue management divisions. Mark Hucek and Holly Michalek have been named corporate directors of sales and marketing for Denver-based Richfield Hospitality, and Paul Wood has joined as corporate director of revenue management.

Mark Hucek, Corporate Director of Sales & Marketing
A 20-year veteran of the hospitality industry, Mark is responsible for all aspects of sales and marketing for Richfield’s portfolio of full-service hotels. Mark’s ability to analyze a given hotel’s strengths and weaknesses in the marketplace and initiate both short and long term strategies allows him to maximize each property’s potential.
Prior to joining Richfield, Mark served as the regional vice president of sales for Prime Hospitality’s portfolio of proprietary hotel brands. Additionally, his previous experience at the property level includes positions such as the director of sales and catering for Atlas Hotels (San Diego, Calif.) and as general manager for both the Quality Suites, Lansing, Mich., and the Wisp Golf and Ski Resort in McHenry, Md.; both properties were managed by Richfield Hospitality during his tenure.
Holly Michalek, Corporate Director of Sales & Marketing:
Based in California, Holly provides local marketing support on a daily basis to Richfield’s portfolio of hotels. Holly works closely with the staff members at each hotel, as well as with the Denver-based team, directing the sales and marketing efforts with emphasis on increasing the hotel’s occupancy rate, Revpar and market share through the implementation of Richfield’s policies and procedures.
Holly has overseen the revenue development and management of more than 42 limited and full-service hotels during her 10-year tenure in the hospitality industry. Prior to joining Richfield Hospitality, Holly held positions as general manager and corporate director of sales and marketing for Marin Management, Inc.
Her professional achievements include certification in management development, teamwork and leadership and Fortune 500 sales training.
Paul Wood, Corporate Director of Revenue Management
Paul’s experience in the hospitality industry provides an operational approach to revenue management, and his new position as the corporate director of revenue management will allow his expertise in various technical systems to streamline processes and maximize revenue for all Richfield clients.
Prior to joining Richfield Hospitality, Wood has held a variety of roles and positions in the hotel industry, including room division executive, front office manager and reservations, as well as revenue manager for several independently owned hotels. He brings a wealth of knowledge in distribution channels, strategies, Property Management Systems and day-to-day hotel operations. Wood is a certified Hospitality Supervisor and has won numerous management and hospitality awards.
